Driver Appreciation Week 2016: Integrity in Addison, IL

Veritiv is celebrating Driver Appreciation Week – a perfect time to extend our thanks to  the drivers who deliver our Veritiv solutions with pride, every day. Today, we turn the spotlight on two of our drivers who will celebrate 17 years with Veritiv in just a few months — James Wong and Leonard Roach from our Addison, IL facility.

jameswongMeet James Wong. James joined Veritiv in October 1999. Since his first day, James has made working with Integrity his number one priority. His attention to detail ensures our customers’ products arrive on time, in good condition, and is delivered with exceptional service.

When he’s not driving, James enjoys any sporting activity that will place him outside in the open air  – even in the chilly Illinois winter.

James shared with us that his love for the outdoors was the catalyst to choosing a driving career – he wanted to be out in the world, not behind a desk.

Next, meet Leonard Roach. Leonard joined Veritiv in November 1999, just a month after James.

For Leonard, Integrity goes far beyond his duty to Veritiv and his customers. In 2008, Leonard was named “Highway Angel of the Year” by the Truckload Carriers Association for rescuing a trapped motorist from icy water and was then honored during a special presentation on ESPN. (You can read more of the story here.)

Here’s what James and Leonard’s supervisors have to say about them: “If there was a way to clone this set of drivers, Veritiv would benefit from the exceptional service they provide to their customers.”

Here at Veritiv, we recognize the value our drivers bring to our business and the role they play in our ongoing success.

Veritiv drivers visit 7,000 customers per day, across the U.S. , Canada, and Mexico. Are you ready to join a winning team of more than 1,060?
