The Best of Ogilvy – Big Ideas on Paper

A famous quote by the great David Ogilvy, founder of the legendary advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather reads, “Unless your advertising contains a big idea, it will pass like a ship in the night.”

The agency network founded by David Ogilvy is now comprised of 450 offices in 69 cities all over the world – and each of them is always striving to achieve the “big idea” for their clients. Great work from Ogilvy offices across the globe is assembled into “The Best of Ogilvy,” an annual compilation of agency work recognizing the finest creations and designs from the global network of Ogilvy & Mather offices.

The showcase book (currently in its seventh edition), is an oversize publication showcasing the network’s top talent. In order to do full justice to the agency “big ideas,” the substantial volume has been enlarged from previous editions.  This made the paper selection for the 2016 version of this book a more crucial part of the process than ever, as both performance on press and value were the key qualities desired by Ogilvy & Mather.

I couldn’t be happier with the final choice.  Accent Opaque paper, manufactured by International Paper and distributed by Veritiv, was chosen for this project.

Congratulations to Ogilvy & Mather, named Network of the Year at the recent Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity for the fifth year running and recipient of 120 Glass Lions across 31 offices. Much of the work which helped the agency earn the award is featured in “The Best of Ogilvy,” and at Veritiv we’re honored to be part of such an impressive body of work.
